I'm normally not a paranoid person by any stretch, but the video security screen in my livingroom has me on edge. Yesterday, at about 4pm, a strong voice entered the only personal space I can claim in the Land of Kimchi. His message seemed urgent. At approximately 2 minutes, it had to be important. Did Big Brother catch me haphazardly discarding my used seedless grapes container into general rubbish and not the plastics recycling bin? Did the camera in the elevator catch me lip syncing to my Korean
SurvivalPhrases.com lessons? Was The Voice simply delivering the events for the upcoming month? Or was I being reminded not to open mail delivered to my box not addressed to me. (Keep in mind my name will be translated to Hangul, so I won't know what to look for initially.)
This is probably a rant and I should pay no mind. Still, I can't help but wonder. I should visit J at the Park View office. Time to go through the mail and be my naive-American-self.
So what does the Hangul say in the photo? It says, "What Are You Staring At?!" Snagged it from
Babo Shirts.

That's pretty interesting. So is that what the actual screen looks like, the image on it? Or did you paste that in?
I pasted that in. That's Shepard Fairey's "Obey Giant." That's the actual talking screen though.
Hey Amy! Thanks for the note. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog (came in especially handy last night when I went to do my laundry! :) ). You're liking it here so far?? 3 years too, huh? You're in it for the long haul! Where are you from originally? I love that your profile picture was taken on those awesome ramp-escalators with the carts that somehow magically attach! What a great invention. Where exactly in Bundang to you live...in relation to Samsung Plaza?
